The Role

The Core Engineering team builds the distributed systems the book uses. The work is the simulation grid and the path an order takes.

Daily ingest is 10GB. The historical store is measured in petabytes. A signal is replayed before it is trusted.

Similize® is capable of FPGA execution at microsecond scale. The book we run sends orders in under 1 millisecond, through the prime broker.

Build the systems the book uses, in C++20 on Linux.
Design distributed systems for the historical store, which is measured in petabytes.

Mentor senior engineers and set technical standards for the organization.
Collaborate with quantitative researchers. A signal is replayed before it is trusted.

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics.
Experience in low-latency systems.
Expert-level knowledge of C++ (template metaprogramming, memory models, lock-free data structures).
Deep understanding of OS internals, CPU architecture, and network protocols.
Experience with FPGA acceleration is a strong plus.
